MoHUA Signed MoU with Zomato:
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and Zomato to join street food vendors on its food technology platform.
Highlights:
♦ A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and Zomato to join street food vendors on its food technology platform. This will enable street food vendors to access online access to thousands of customers and help these vendors grow their companies.
♦ A similar agreement with Swiggy, another online food ordering and distribution site, was reached by MoHUA in October 2020.
♦ MoHUA launched a Mobile Application for PM SVANidhi se Samriddhi.
♦ For socio-economic analysis of PM SVANidhi recipients and their families, this mobile application will enable city officials to conduct door-to-door data collection.
♦ This will be done as an additional portion of PM SVANidhi in 125 selected cities.
♦ This application will enable socio-economic profile analysis activities of ULB field functionaries to be conducted even without any Internet connection.
♦ The mobile application was developed by the Indian Quality Council implementing partner and MoHUA.
♦ The objective of the program is to map the socio-economic profile of the beneficiaries of PM SVANidhi and their families, to determine their possible eligibility for participation in different central welfare schemes, and to foster relations with them in order to promote their overall growth and socio-economic development.
